The Agency for Social Protection (ASP) has launched a sensitisation programme in preparation for the implementation of its Electronic Social Protection System (eSPS), scheduled to go live during the third quarter of 2025.

eSPS is an important component of a wider plan to strengthen the efficiency and effectiveness of Seychelles’ social protection system.

The Minister for Local Government and Community Affairs, Mrs Rose-Marie Hoareau, several high-ranking officials and ASP staff attended the launching event held at Savoy Resort and Spa.

It marks the beginning of an important initiative to familiarise employees of the agency and the public at large with the new digital system, aimed at ensuring a successful and seamless transition.

ASP sought the expertise of PwC Mauritius on the project. A representative of the company, Mrs Nelly Lacaze, shared updates on progress achieved in the development of eSPS and introduced the core modules that will be an integral component for staff working at district level and public users.

The Chief Executive Officer of ASP, Ms Brenda Morin, took questions from the audience about the digitalisation transformation of the agency.
