Injury / Partial Disablement

Description:

Both benefits are linked together. It is made payable to a person who is injured whilst on duty. It can be paid depending on the percentage of the injury or at the full standard rate.

Eligibility:

Injured whilst on duty

Validity:

The person is paid injury benefit for a period of 130 days. Thereafter the Social Security medical board recommends whether the individual will benefit with the full injury benefit or a percentage which is partial disablement.

Documents Required:

  • Proof of employment ( letter as evidence that the person was in employment or self-employed)
  • Valid ID card
  • Valid Sick leave/ Medical Certificate (original)
