Agency for Social Protection Celebrates International Women’s Day with Elderly Residents

On March 15, 2025, the Agency for Social Protection (ASP) hosted a special luncheon at the Anse Boileau Elderly Home to honor elderly ladies from care homes across Seychelles.

The event, marking International Women’s Day, was made possible by generous sponsors who provided lunch, snacks, and a specially prepared cake.

Each attendee received a red rose as a token of appreciation. The celebration included music and dancing, creating a warm atmosphere.

The highlight was an unexpected visit from President Wavel Ramkalawan, who cut the cake alongside residents, coinciding with his birthday. This memorable event underscored the importance of community and appreciation for the elderly.
